Sikligar Sikhs

outcast,
mistreated
& forgotten.

The tale of a forgotten community

Sikligar Sikhs are an often neglected and overlooked community with a rich history tied to the Khalsa. The Sikligars are basically treated the same as the untouchables (Dalit) communities. This community is very near and dear to SAF International’s heart because we know of the unimaginable hardships they have endured over the years. To uplift this community, we’re enrolling their children into schools and making sure their next generation is educated. Apart from this, we’re going to help build safe and secure homes that will provide protection all year around for decades to come.
